White on Black

Medium: white conté crayon on black canon paper
I made this during my first and only ever art summer camp at Temple University's Tyler arts institute. I had seen something similar in my early high school years where someone make a lantern using only white on black matte board, and I thought it would be cool if I tried the same. It was very difficult because I had to draw everything backwards (fill in the lights, not the darks) because I was so used to applying dark mediums on lighter pieces of paper.

The size of this piece is 19" x 25".
